Frequently Asked Questions

Yoga & Nature Retreat Days

Do I need yoga experience to join the retreat?

Not at all!  The retreat is open to all.  Yoga class will be accessible to everyone and offer options.

I am a beginner, do I need to know anything specific?

If you are new to yoga, you are more than welcome.  Let me know in advance and I'll provide some tips on what to expect, but you will fit right in.

What is it like to practice yoga in the park?
It's beautiful.  Our yoga mats lay in the grass, and throughout class you'll hear birdsong, feel the sunshine and breathe the freshest air.

Yoga is in a secluded, quiet tree grove.  Last retreat, there were no other people around - we may have the whole area to ourselves!

What amenities are available at the retreat location?

Wide lawns, a tree grove for yoga, outdoor seating, covered picnic shelter in case of rain, nature trails and free parking.  Restrooms are also available.

Is lunch included?

Yes!  A nourishing, plant-based and naturally gluten-free meal from one of my favorite local restaurants.  Dessert and snacks included.

What should I bring?

A yoga mat, water, walking shoes, face mask and weather-appropriate clothes.  More details will be sent in your confirmation emails.

What is included?

  • Two outdoor yoga classes: an invigorating morning class to wake up and get moving, and a relaxing afternoon class to unwind

  • Group hike and forest meditation

  • Group lunch: nourishing, seasonal and fresh

  • Seasonal Renewal workshop: set your intentions for this new season of the year, with guided journaling

  • Gift bag with some extra goodies

  • Time to reflect, connect with others, and/or spend time by yourself

Note that all activities are optional. Retreats are "you time," so feel free to choose how you spend your time on the grounds.

Are there additional fees?

Nope, your retreat price is all-inclusive of the activities, lunch, parking and administrative fees.

What COVID-19 safety precautions are we taking?

Group size will be limited to manage proper distancing.  In yoga class, we will space mats 10 feet apart.  For hiking, we will wear face coverings to protect each other.  All activities are outdoors, with plenty of space to spread out.

What are the plans if it rains?

We will have cover of a picnic shelter and my intention is to hold retreat rain or shine.  However, if we need to reschedule I will confirm by Thursday (two days prior), with a back-up date of October 10.

What is the cancellation policy?

Your booking is non-refundable, but can be transferred to a friend with Allison's permission if you are no longer able to join.

Why should I join a yoga retreat?

Come home to yourself, connect with nature, connect with others, learn a new yoga pose, or simply breathe in the arrival of spring.

If you are called to join, this is a sign you were meant to join us!
